Jim Rutledge Commemorates the Sacrifice of Our Military and Veterans

Rutledge Committed to Supporting Our Wounded Warriors and a Strong National Defense

FOREST HILL, Maryland - Jim Rutledge encourages Marylanders to reflect upon the solemn obligation America has to our military and veterans. Memorial Day is not only an act of remembrance but also a call to duty for every citizen to support the men and women of the armed forces. Those who unselfishly sacrifice their minds and bodies pay for America's freedom every day. America's commitment to those who serve can be no less. Jim Rutledge said, "We must honor our military and veterans by providing them the best possible training, equipment, and health care."

Freedom comes at a great cost to those who have dedicated themselves to defending democracy. The recovery and rehabilitation of those who have suffered physical and mental wounds must always be the highest priority of our elected representatives. Rutledge said, "We have an obligation to insure that these brave warriors are provided the best rehabilitation and recovery possible."

Jim Rutledge supports a strong national defense to maintain the necessary strength and mobility required to defend freedom at home and abroad. Jim Rutledge believes Barbara Mikulski and the liberal democrats in Washington should get their priorities straight. Washington continues to waste billions of dollars on entitlement programs and earmarks but wants to cut defense spending. America struggles to secure its borders while Barbara Mikulski and Barack Obama look for new ways to drive taxpayers further into debt.

Jim Rutledge wants Marylanders to join him in remembering the sacrifice offered by our military and veterans this Memorial Day. Jim Rutledge said, "For freedom and prosperity to flourish again we must rededicate ourselves to the principles of our Founders Fathers."
