FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Wednesday, March 24
FOREST HILL, Maryland - The Rutledge for U.S. Senate Campaign is encouraged by the prospect that Bob Ehrlich will seek the Republican nomination for Governor. Jim Rutledge believes Maryland's Republican Party must provide a strong leadership team to reform government and restore fiscal accountability. Liberal Democrats have mortgaged our financial future and turned their back on the Constitution.
Rutledge said, “The time is now for Marylanders to stand up and get behind leaders who are willing to fight against higher taxes and big government.” The Rutledge Campaign believes America is at a cross road where the people have to decide how much government they want in their lives. Democrats like Barbara Mikulski from Annapolis to Washington have usurped their authority to create bigger government. To insure real change in Maryland and across the Nation every citizen must stand up and become a Patriot.
Jim Rutledge thinks that the governments’ role in our lives should be limited. Barbara Mikulski has consistently sided with big government by choosing to expand the role of the federal government in our lives. In the midst of a bad economy, businesses need government to reduce taxes and eliminate barriers that restrict growth. Mandating more cost and more regulations will continue to slow job growth and send existing jobs overseas. Barbara Mikulski has spent decades helping to raise our taxes and create a larger bureaucracy in Washington. In response to the liberal legislative agenda Jim Rutledge said, “It is like the magazine subscription you did not order—they keep sending them anyway along with the bill.”
Jim Rutledge urges Marylanders to take action and join him in this cause to end the tax and spend practices of Barbara Mikulski.
